Level Up
Free pilots for the Test of Huayu Proficiency were held last month. We wouldn’t be able to receive any actual certifacation, but I participated after we were all encouraged by teachers to take it just for practice. It’s the Mandarin proficiency test I took back in America when applying for school, except last time I signed up for the beginner level test.
This time I took the basic level test (after which is intermediate and advanced). I wielded my +1 Pencil of Answer Finding with courage, and last week found out I passed. Now I am an official speaker of “basic” Mandarin.
